57th Annual “Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival”

57th Annual “Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival”

On Saturday, April 8th, 2017, our school will be participating in an important martial arts demonstration at the largest one-day Japanese festival in the United States. The 57th Annual “Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival” is associated with the ending of the Cherry Blossom Festival here in Washington D.C., as it celebrates the beauty of Japanese culture.

JTR Jujutsu International is registered as a participant to showcase our Jujutsu skills. The time we have been designated to go on stage is 5:15-5:45 pm, so we have approximately 25 mins. Also, that means there’s an opportunity for everyone to participate, from the newest beginners up to the most advanced members. In the coming weeks, we will be prepping and practicing for this demo.

So the masters need to know (thru your timely response!) if you are on board so that we can have an accurate headcount. And for the record, it will be a very fun activity for everyone to do together to display our school’s pride and an opportunity to invite your friends and family to come out and see us in action.

For everyone's continued safety during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we are now offering home training courses in Women's Self-Defense, Adult Combat Jujutsu and Youth Jujutsu. Get empowered and sign-up for a free trial class today.
