On July 21st, 2018 JTR Jujutsu International’s Women’s Self-Defense Program hosted two seminars for women of all ages and backgrounds who shared a common interest in their desire to learn the essentials of survival and self-defense. The event was a success with over 30 participants. This event was hosted at the “Bold Center” in Tenleytown, in their spacious conference rooms. Master Don led the program but was supported by a group of instructors form the JTR family. In addition, two JTR instructors who are members of the metropolitan police department helped out. They spoke about the issues and concerns women have faced in the course of their public work experience. A portion of the proceeds was donated to K.I.N.D. “Kids in Need Distributors” a non-profit organization that delivers food to children in schools from low-income families.
